The
New Jersey Local Information Network Communications System (LINCS) Health
Alert Network ---
- is a
no-cost statewide public health emergency notification system that
links together local, state and federal partners to protect communities
from both man-made and naturally occurring disasters;
- is available
to all healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, laboratorians,
pharmacists,
veterinarians and emergency medical technicians;
- provides
accurate public health information from the New Jersey Department
of Health and Senior Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
Local Health Departments, and other reliable sources.
- supports
state and local public health emergency preparedness and response
efforts including:
*Planning
and assessment
*Disease
surveillance and investigation
*Data collection
and sharing
*Emergency
communications
*Community
education and outreach
*Workforce
training
